  [-type]       // DEFAULT:
                // if no '-type' specified, script generates default image set
                // defined by the @DEFAULT_TYPES array in this script.

                // will process N-number of user defined '-type' values

  [-mode]       // DEFAULT:
                // -mode=single <-generates ONLY individual *.ncgm files for
                //                type(s) requested.
